Sen. Soles serves as chairman of the Commerce Committee, vice-chairman of the Appropriations subcommittee on Transportation, vice-chairman of the Judiciary I Committee and as a member of the following committees; Appropriations/ Base Budget, Finance, One NC, Rules and Operations of the Senate, Select Committee on Homeland Security, Emergency Management and Military Affairs, Select Committee on the Lottery Bill, and State and Local Government. Sen. Soles serves as one of the most senior members of the North Carolina Senate.
