Sponsored the prescription drug program for North Carolina's Seniors
Worked to implement the Patients' Bill of Rights
Instrumental in creating the state wide Amber Alert System
Brought in millions of dollars in aid to the area after Hurricane Floyd
Secured funding to expand Highway 17 and other major county roadways
Sponsored legislation for the preservation of our natural resources
Supported the No-Call regulations for telemarketers
Increased teachers' salaries and improved education throughout the years
Secured funding for sewer projects, Beach Re-nourishment and Museums
The 2nd Register of Deeds Office in the State of North Carolina to provide county records on line, making records accessible via the internet
Developed plans and support for the new courthouse and jail
Expanded the D.A.R.E. Program in our county and developed laws and policies for the continued security and safety of all citizens in Brunswick County

The Brunswick County Board Of Commissioners holds a regular Board Meeting the 1st and 3rd Monday of every month.

School Board Meetings are held the 1st Tuesday of each month at 6:30pm in the school board admin office--County Extension Service Training Room, County Complex; 35 Referendum Drive.
